What is this type of health evaluation called?
 This work falls under the category of what is referred to as “Vibrational Medicine” also called electro-physiological reactivity, electro-acupuncture according to Voll (E.A.V.), and electrodermal screening.  This method of health evaluation is based on the principles of Biofeedback and Quantum Physics.  It utilizes a computer to measure the body’s stress responses and energy demands.

Where and how did this type of testing originate?
 In the late 1940’s Dr. Reinhold Voll, a German medical doctor, became fascinated with the Chinese medical approach of treating patients for various illnesses.  The Chinese approach is vastly different from the way typical “Western Medicine” is practiced in the United States.   The Chinese view of diagnosing disease revolves around the examination of proper energy flow throughout the body.
 Dr. Voll’s life work then centered on finding a way to the measure “Qi” (pronounced chee), or energy flow, without the use of acupuncture needles.  After 40 years of research, Dr. Voll developed a non-computerized device that he called the Dermatron, which allowed him to determine energy flow of the acupuncture meridians (the body’s electrical pathways).  Dr. Voll then developed a way to determine if the systems of the body were healthy or in distress.  Dr. Voll determined that he could check the vitality of organs and body system functions relative to acupuncture meridian responses when he tested patients.  In his day an evaluation was  a very tedious process and could take 3 or 4 days.  In the 1980’s E.A.V. was computerized and therefore shortened the complete evaluation to 3 or 4 hours.  Today, the latest technology allows us to perform the evaluation in just minutes.  Dr. Voll was highly respected by his peers, and as a result of his research and life’s work, E.A.V. is currently taught in German medical schools.

What does BodyScan do and how does it work?

What does a Bio-Energetic practitioner do for clients?
 A Bio-Energetic practitioner provides E.A.V. evaluations using the latest in Bio-Energetic technology.  The first priority is the clients health and wellness.  After reviewing the findings of your evaluation, recommendations including herbs, vitamins, enzymes, homeopathic remedies, diet, nutritional and/or lifestyle improvements may be suggested to optimize your response to better health. Remember, the practitioner and staff members do not diagnose or treat any specific disease or illness.  If severe health conditions are present or are life threatening, please see your primary care physician immediately.
 The most common type of client seen by a Bio-Energetic practitioner is one who is dissatisfied with traditional pharmaceutical therapy and seeking a more natural

How much does it cost?
 The fees for Bio-Energetic evaluations may vary on the number of visits to the practitioner and the amount of nutritional supplementation the client purchases.  The fee in the office is $225.00 for the initial evaluation.  Approximately 2 1/2 hours is spent with the client.  Nutritional supplements are sold separately.
